How to keep it upright?

I'm confused. If he's using it as a motor, where are the batteries? Does he have at least capacitors somewhere to store power as he cycles then release it to run the motor?

I love it, it would be my perfect bike.

Very nice design. I like the "sprung differential effect to link suspend the back wheels" with "a true differential effect". Driving both the rear wheels like that, is not exactly "a differential" as the slower wheel drives when cornering, and the faster wheel basically freewheels around. An excellent design but I would guess that it is rather expensive to build for the mass market. The later one with concentric shafts for the sprung suspension, tilting and drive is excellent. Still, it is a brilliant and a nice piece of engineering, or should I say, a useful prosthetic aid, just like any engineered car, aircraft, ocean going liner and a train or a bus or a truck or indeed, a pair of shoes, all engineered to save our legs. .
